Setup should get out of the way so the room can reach the first laugh.
Chiri Party is a free browser voice game for friends. Everyone hears the same sound, records one take, listens to the room's performances and watches the scores arrive.
The game turns the familiar fun of repeating movie lines, reactions and impossible voices into a shared online round. It is designed around Malayalam humour without requiring every sound—or every player—to be Malayalam. The point is not a perfect performance. The point is giving your friends something to laugh about.

Chiri Party is an open web project built with Next.js, TypeScript, Three.js and the Web Audio APIs. The frontend is statically exported and served by Vercel. New online games use Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects for guest sessions, room coordination and short-lived room recordings. WebRTC carries live voice directly between players when their networks allow it.
The source includes tests for game rules, audio portability, public matchmaking, recovery and backend limits. The scoring system is an entertainment feature, not speech recognition and not a secure competition judge.

Prototype limits, retention, network constraints and scoring limits are stated plainly.
Online rooms and their stored recordings are designed around a 24-hour lifetime.
The language and cultural voice are part of the product, not a decorative translation layer.

The source repository documents the architecture, setup, known limitations and testing approach. Use GitHub Issues for reproducible bugs and suggestions; never include live room codes, guest credentials or private recordings.
